![]() Oversees SPPP creation and implementation for applicable municipal operations/facilities. Inspects municipal operations/facilities to evaluate best good housekeeping practices in accordance with stormwater pollution prevention plans (SPPP).Serves as liaison for internal and external customers for stormwater related concerns.Educates internal and external customers on stormwater related issues (water quality, environmental compliance, impervious surface areas) in the City of Winston-Salem.Produces stormwater data reports as needed for various internal and external customers.Designs and creates maps in ArcGIS to display pertinent stormwater related information for internal and external customers, using Trimble devices to collect and verify impervious areas.Collects water quality samples from city surface waters for laboratory analyses, in accordance with federal regulations.Performs and water quality sampling data entry and QA/QC functions, as per the City of Winston-Salem NPDES (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System) permit requirements. Carries out water sampling programs including fixed interval sampling, TMDL (total maximum daily load), SSO detection (sanitary sewer overflow), IDDE (illicit discharge detection and elimination), and other water quality sampling as needed.Responsible for investigating and documenting illicit activity, must create Notice of Violation (NOVs) letters and ensures ordinance compliance through the course of the entire investigation. ![]()
